The town of Kalaat Mgouna which is the main village at the end of the valley is well known as the capital of the roses in Morocco hosts rose festival on the 1st week of May. We offer many trips to the roses valley and the around areas starting from 4 days to a few weeks depending on your wishes. This hiking Itinerary is an optional. this walk is great for families, couples, friends and anyone who likes to hike.

day1: Rose Valley > Marrakech – Boutghrar

After breakfast in your hotel, your tour leader will come to pick you up to drive over the High Atlas Mountain crossing the pass of Tichka 2260m. You then continue your drive to reach the city of Ouarzazat or the door of the desert and stop for lunch. After lunch, you continue driving to your destination the village of Boutghra for the night in a local Berber guesthouse (gite)

day2: Rose Valley hiking> Boutghrar – Alemdoun

First, enjoy your breakfast and get to know our crew, muleteers, and their mules who will carry your luggage. Then, get ready to walk. As you start your adventure walking through the old village of Boutghrar, and along the beautiful valley of Agouti. Lunch will be prepared and served at the gorge of Agouti. After lunch, we continue walking through the canyons that will lead us all the way to get to Alemdoun for our next night in a guesthouse.

day3: Rose Valley hiking> Alemdoun – Agerdzegga

Today, we leave the village of Alemdoun walking along a small road, enjoy walking along the forest of juniper trees, after our freshly prepared lunch by our trekking cook, we then get along the way to reach our next destination, the village of Agerdzegga for the night in Berber family guesthouse.

day4: Rose Valley hiking> Agerdzegga – Ighrm Aqdim

Like any other day of this amazing trip, today is again another different walking adventure. We leave the village of Agerdzegga walking down along the beautiful valley and River of Mgoun. On our way, we get to explore some villages and the fabulous gorge of Mgoun, end our day at the old village of Ighrm Aqdim where we will be hosted in a local gite.

day5: Rose Valley hiking> Ighrm Aqdim – Boumaln Dades

We first have our breakfast, then start our walk along the green valley of Mgoun. As we walk on our path passing in between the terraces, we get to discover those beautiful roses, fig trees… We will then hike up over a small mountain pass to get to another famous valley in Morocco. Arriving in the Dades valley, we get welcomed in our local gite where we will be spending our last night.

day6: Rose Valley> Boumaln Dades – Marrakech

Enjoy our last prepared breakfast by our trekking cook. Goodbye our trekking crew, get in our minibus/4×4 driving direction Marrakech. The lunch break will be in Ait Benhaddou where we will enjoy an amazing tour of the beautiful Kasbah. The UNESCO world heritage Kssr of Ait Benhaddou. After the tour, we continue our drive across the high Atlas mountains and back to Marrakech where our deserved tour ends.
