6 days M’goun trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Bouguemez Valley
Depart Marrakech and journey towards the Ait Bouguemez Valley, a scenic drive that spans approximately 5 hours. This picturesque valley, known as the “Happy Valley,” serves as the gateway to your trek. Arrive in the village of Timite where you will be hosted in a local guesthouse, surrounded by stunning landscapes of terraced fields and traditional Berber architecture. In the late afternoon, begin your hike towards the granary of Sidi Mousa and enjoy a wonderful view over the valley.
Day 2: Timite – Ikiss-n-Arouss
Continue your trek through the Ait Bouguemez Valley, passing through verdant valleys and Berber villages. Trek towards Ikiss-n-Arouss where you will camp for the night, immersed in the natural beauty of the Atlas Mountains.
Day 3: Ikiss-n-Arouss – Tarkeddit Plateau
Embark on a challenging ascent towards the Tarkeddit Plateau. This day’s trek takes you deeper into the heart of the Atlas Mountains, offering breathtaking views and a chance to experience the peaceful serenity of the plateau. Camp under the starry sky at Tarkeddit Plateau, M’goun base camp 2930m high.
Day 4: Tarkeddit Plateau – M’goun Summit – Izabiyn
