6-Day Trekking Saghro Anti-Atlas Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech to Tagedilt
The 6-Day Trekking Saghro Anti-Atlas begins in Marrakech/Ouarzazate. Our guide and driver will pick you up from your accommodation or the airport. We leave Marrakech and travel through the Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate. After a lunch stop in the Hollywood of Morocco, we cross Skoura and Kalaat M’gouna. We then reach our destination, Tagedilt. We will spend the first night in a gîte.
Day 2: Tagedilt to Almoun n Warg
After breakfast at the guesthouse, meet our muleteers. They will carry our luggage. They will also manage the food and camp setup. We start with a gentle walk along a small road to the base of the mountain range. After a lunch break at a scenic viewpoint, we continue to our camp.
Day 3: Almoun n Warg to Iwraghn
We leave camp this morning. We have an easy climb to the peak of Jbel Kouaouch (2592m). We then descend for lunch in the valley, admiring the magnificent volcanic rock formations. Continue walking to our camp just above Igli.
Day 4: Iwraghn to Bab n Ali
The sunrise over the mountain slopes is spectacular. You want to stay at camp to enjoy the view and the sounds of goats. Nomads arrive with their animals for the winter and spring. Enjoy a beautiful walk through oases and gorges, and spend the night at the famous Bab n Ali.
Day 5: Bab n Ali to Tifrit
Enjoy your last breakfast in the Berber tent with our staff. We then leave Bab n Ali and head towards Ighazzoun n Imlast and Tifrit. Experience a varied walk, including the Iblohn columns and oases. After lunch, take a short walk and a local bus to Tifrit for an overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 6: Tifrit to Marrakech via Ait Benhaddou
We bid farewell to our muleteers and drive along the Draa Valley. On our way to Marrakech, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou. After the visit and lunch in a local restaurant, we continue our journey over the High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.
