6-Day Toubkal Trek itinerary

Day 1. Marrakech – Agersioual to Tizi Oussem

We’ll start our walk through the village of Agersioual. We will hike over the Tize-n-oudit (2219m) mountain pass. Then, we will continue walking down to the Azzaden valley. We will enjoy lunch under the shade of walnut trees. In the evening, we will spend the night in the summer village of Azib Tamsoult (2200m).

Day 2: Tizi Oussem hiking to Armed

Today, we’ll walk up along the valley to reach the Ighoulidn waterfall, then enter the National Park of Toubkal. We’ll walk back on the mountainside to reach Tizi-n-mezzik pass (2500m). We will enjoy lunch with a marvelous view of the Imlil area. Then, we’ll walk down to the village of Armed (1900m) for the night.

Day 3: Armed trek to the base camp of Toubkal

After breakfast, we’ll leave the village and walk along the river. We will take breaks for tea-nuts. We’ll have lunch at the Toubkal basecamp (3207m). Overnight stay in the mountain hut.

Day 4: Base camp climb Mt Toubkal and back to the camp

Take in stunning views of the Atlas Mountains as you climb. After lunch at basecamp, you can relax. Alternatively, descend to Armed for the night in a local Gite. You’ll experience genuine Berber hospitality and unwind after an exhilarating day of trekking.

Day 5: Walk from the base camp in Imlil and drive to Marrakech
